Mrs McCann, Head of English stated: “The ceremony is one of the major highlights of the year. It is a pleasure for staff to read the pupils’ reviews as their enthusiasm, appreciation and passion for their chosen novel is almost palpable! Congratulations to all our worthy winners especially Jashley Viar the 2017 overall winner for her Ebook Review of Three Dark Crowns.”
The Book Review is one of a number of ongoing initiatives organised by the English Faculty to encourage pupils to read more and to broaden their literacy skills. The ceremony coincided with our World Book Day celebrations, when students and staff shared their most memorable reads. Already reading and preparations are underway for the 2018 Book Review Competition.
