Dungannon racist graffiti attack not reported to police

A racist graffiti attack on a house in Dungannon has been condemned by a local councillor.

The incident, which took place at a property on the Oaks Road, has not been reported to police, a spokesperson confirmed.

Chief Inspector Stephen Humphries said: “Police in Dungannon take hate crime seriously and actively investigate all incidents reported to us. “Our message is very clear, in order to prevent hate crimes occurring people need to report it to police.”

SDLP councillor, Denise Mullen, described the attack as “terrible”, adding: “We are all human beings and everyone should be treated equally. I condemn this attack in the strongest terms.”
