Larne ‘jewel in Antrim crown’
The popular presenter, who visited the town with his radio roadshow on December 5, described Larne as the “jewel in Antrim’s crown” and asked: “Sure how could you not love Larne?”
Former School Around the Corner host Frank told the Times: “I’ve been to Larne many times doing bits for TV and features for UTV live. When we come to Larne we’re really positive, it’s a great place and there’s good craic. There’s a warmth in the air but sometimes as we know Larne gets a wee bit of negativity. We’re here to prove that Larne is bouncing on the countdown to Christmas.”

“When you come down here you’re always welcomed by the people, there’s a vibrancy and a bit of craic and fun. There’s a business about the place which has to be applauded. I don’t think you can be negative about such a wonderful jewel in the Antrim crown.”
Commenting on the BBC’s recent documentary ‘I Love Larne,’ which attracted criticism for its portrayal of the town, Frank said: “My view would be that we like to be positive about places in Northern Ireland. I love Larne, how could you not love Larne?”
