Limavady to host glorious Twelfth celebrations
The 326th Anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne celebrations will see the local Districts, Coleraine District LOL No.2 and Macosquin District LOL No.8 travelling across the mountain for the annual parade.
The Main parade will depart from Church Street at 12 noon lead by Limavady District LOL No.6 followed by Coleraine District LOL No.2, Macosquin District LOL No.8 and finally City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge, comprising of Districts from Londonderry, Claudy and Raphoe in East Donegal.

Hide AdThe parade route, as in previous years is Church Street, Ballyclose Street, Main Street, Linenhall Street, Catherine Street ( passing Limavady War Memorial) Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Irish Green Street, Roemill Gardens, Roemill Road into Limavady Orange Field.
Platform proceedings
In an unusual move there will be no traditional platform this year.
Instead the service of worship and resolutions will take place in a marquee located in the field.
The proceedings will be chaired by Wor Bro Samuel Calvin, Deputy County Grand Master of County Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge.

Hide AdThe Religious service will be conducted by Wor Bro Rev Joseph Andrews, County Grand Chaplain, and Rt Wor Bro Rev Alistair Smyth, District Chaplain Limavady District LOL No.6.
The guest speaker on the day will be Most Wor Bro Edward Stevenson Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland.
The parade will reform at 3.45pm and will be lead from the field by Limavady District LOL No.6, Macosquin District LOL No.8, Coleraine District LOL No.2 and the City of Londonderry Districts.
The return route will be Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street, Main Street, Ballyclose Street, Church Street, Rathmore Road for dispersal.
