Man fined for illegal fishing

A Dunmurry man has been fined for fishing illegally.

David Kane, from Lagmore Downs, was convicted of fisheries offences at Lisburn Court.

Kane was convicted under the Fisheries Act (N.I.) 1966 and related Byelaws of Unlicensed Angling; Unauthorised entry on a fishery; and Impeding a person exercising his powers

The offences occurred on Stoneyford Reservoir.

He was fined a total of £75 with a £15 offender levy, costs of £100 and £19 court costs.
