Mr David Adam Simpson
David Simpson was one of a large family born at Crebilly, Ballymena where his father had a dairy farm. David commenced farming on his own account at Ballykeel and later moved to the Clough area at Drumfin when the town boundary was extended and Ballykeel became a housing complex.
David was a quiet unassuming man and a highly respected expert at sheep sales where his opinions were much sought after. He is survived by his widow, Nellie, son Thomas who farms at Crebilly and daughters Sandra and Anne. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth, Rev Dr Thomas, Hugh (Crebilly) and Desmond (Australia) and is survived by his sisters Agnes and Hilda brothers Robert, Stanley and James, nine grandchildren and three great grand children.
Dr John Finlay conducted the funeral service, assisted by Rev Martin McNeely at the home and the graveside in Ballee Cemetery.
