NI swelters through record-breaking nighttime temperatures
Temperatures more akin to a summer’s day were recorded by the Met Office at several monitoring stations.

Hide AdA sweltering 19.3 degrees celsius was recorded overnight at Aldergrove in Co Antrim, he said.
The Met Office, meanwhile, confirmed that several minimum temperature records had been broken on Monday night.
The minimum temperature in Katesbridge, Co Down, was recorded by the Met Office as 17.3 degrees celsius, beating the previous record for that weather station by 1.3 degrees, set in September 2000.
Another record was broken in Castlederg with a minimum of 17.1, ahead of the previous high of 16.6 degrees in September 1999.

Hide AdThe Met Office forecast for Wednesday, meanwhile, shows a warm but mostly cloudy day ahead with temperatures reaching 21 degrees celsius. Highs of 18 and 17 degrees are expected for Thursday and Friday.
