No Sunday morning service 'for first time in centuries'
The parishioners are attached to Ballintoy Church of Ireland and some were reportedly disappointed a Sunday morning service was not held on September 5.
One local source, who did not wish to be named, said the Times was being contacted because “although it might not seem a big issue to some people it has created a stir among others”.

“The reason was that, this year it was decided to have Confirmation of young people in the morning instead of in the evening as is customary.
“It was then decided to transfer that Confirmation to his other church at Dunseverick so that the children there could join with those from Ballintoy,” said the source.
The Times made efforts to contact Rev. Patrick Barton, Minister of Ballintoy and Dunseverick, but at the time of going to press we had not spoken to him.
