New minister to be installed at Ballyclare Presbyterian
The father-of-three has been the minister of Greystone Road Presbyterian Church in Antrim since 2008.
Having studied at Ulster University’s Magee and Coleraine campuses, Queen’s University and Union College in the 1990s, he was licensed to preach the Gospel in New Row Presbyterian Church, Coleraine, his home church, in 1997.

Hide AdThree years later, he was ordained as minister of Ballynure Presbyterian, where he served for eight years, before being called to Greystone Road
Members of Ballyclare’s congregation have been invited to watch tonight’s installation service online.
A spokesperson for the Doagh Road church said: “Join us tonight for the Service of Installation for Rev Jonathan Moxen at 8.30pm.”
The initial vacancy in Ballyclare Presbyterian was caused by the retirement of Rev Robert Bell, who had been the minister there for the past 30 years.

Hide AdIn a statement issued to the Newtownabbey Times in November 2020, Rev Moxen said: “We are excited, and looking forward to be joining the folk in Ballyclare in the next stage of their journey with our Lord Jesus Christ.
“While we will be leaving many friends and a vibrant and caring congregation, we will be taking with us many happy memories.”
