Call for Woodhouse Street clean up
Speaking during August’s meeting of Council’s economic development and regeneration committee discussion turned to the environmental improvements being carried out at Woodhouse Street in Portadown.
When completed, the works will ensure environmental improvements to the pedestrian and vehicular tunnel under the Northway and ensure improvements to wayfinding and landscaping in the area.

“The contractor left an awful lot of stones laying about, could Council ensure it is cleaned up? Can someone go down and have a word with the contractor? I have tried to myself but have had no success.”
Upon hearing this, Council’s head of regeneration, Therese Rafferty confirmed Council will look at the matter telling the Sinn Fein representative: “The lead officer will follow up on that”.
