Returned for trial on assault charge
A fifty-seven-year-old man has been sent for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on an assault charge.
James McVeigh, whose address was given as Obins Drive, Portadown, appeared last Friday at a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.
The charge against him alleges that on December 1 last year he assaulted a male causing him actual bodily harm.
He was remanded on his own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court sitting on May 12.
