SLIDESHOW - Dramatic helicopter rescue at Carrick-a-Rede
A Royal Navy helicopter from HMS Gannet has airlifted a casualty who fell ill after crossing the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge on Thursday afternoon.
The casualty was airlifted to the Causeway Hospital at Coleraine.
The incident happened in the early afternoon.
Ballycastle Coastguard and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene where it was decided to extract the casualty by Air.
The rope bridge was closed for a period and tourists evacuated from the Island to facilitate the helicopter landing site.
