Small volunteer grants now available
Grants are available to small community and voluntary groups with at least 40% of their volunteers not in paid work. Average grants are between 250-500 for volunteers expenses.
Eligible costs are training, travel for volunteers, project costs etc.

* Causeway Volunteer Centre hosted a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ last week to raise much needed funds for Save the Children.
* Marks & Spencer supplied tea, coffee and fruit loaves and cakes and buns were supplied by Michelle, staff member of the Volunteer Centre.

Hide AdBetty Calvert and Betty Linton, both volunteers for charity donated raffle prizes. A big thank you to Betty and Betty for their generous and thoughtful support.
It was a great morning’s fun with lots of chat and eating. In total 130.00 was raised and Causeway Volunteer Centre would like to thank all those who supported this good cause.
* Causeway Volunteer Centre will organise an environmental clean up for the nominated worst affected area in Coleraine Borough at the end June.
Councillors and community groups can put in a bid to nominate the area most needing tidied up and volunteer to help.

* Causeway Volunteer Centre will attend the Green Volunteering Open day with Friends of the Earth Bannside on Saturday, June 12. This event is open to the public from 11am-4pm.
If you are interested in the green environment and wish to volunteer with an environmentally friendly organisation this event is for you.
* Causeway Volunteer Centre will deliver three courses over three days using fun ways to improve participants’ physical and mental health or learn techniques in dealing with clients.
