Stepping into the past at Lisburn City library
‘Lisburn In the 1950s’ will be held on Tuesday, September 4, Irish Interlude, a Post World War Two film, starring Joseph Tomelty, encouraging girls to work in the linen mills, will be screened on Tuesday September 11, Ulster Rich and Rare, a film made for the opening of Ulster Television in 1959, will be screened on Tuesday September 18 and Keep the Party Going - Storytelling at wakes in Moy, Co. Tyrone will be screened on Tuesday September 25. Each event will take place from 1pm-1.30pm.
These films have been taken from the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission’s Digital Film Archive (DFA).
Admission is free and everyone is welcome to enjoy these lunchtime events.
