Ilex got £250k tomarket city in ‘13

The Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) gave Ilex a quarter-of-a-million pounds to help market the city during Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013, it’s been revealed.

The First and Deputy First Ministers stated: “The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure secured approval for a business case to provide £12.6m funding for the City of Culture programme which was paid to Derry City Council.

“This included a contribution of £1.5m from OFMDFM through Ilex. In addition, a further contribution of £250k was provided by OFMDFM through Ilex to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment to assist with the marketing of the city during 2013.”
