Snow blowers used in Feeney
FEENEY was one of just five locations across Northern Ireland where snow blowing machines could be deployed during the recent inclement winter weather.
The machines - purchased in 2005 - were deployed on the Plantation Road, Barnes Road and Ballyrory Road.
Roads Service has found that snow blowers require at least 300 millimetres depth of snow to operate efficiently.
The other areas where they were employed were: The Mournes; Finnis, Larne; and Ballymena
