Walk for MS award for Carrick school
The school was announced as the Eastern Area winner (secondary school section) at the Action MS ‘Thank You’ Awards lunch in Belfast after raising £4,400.
In addition, pupil Emma Nesbitt raised an individual amount of £325.00 and was presented with a plaque.

Hide AdThe multiple sclerosis charity paid warm tribute to teachers, parents and children in Northern Ireland who helped to raise just over £170,000 in support of families living with MS.
‘Walk for MS’ saw an estimated 10,500 children from 50 schools participating in sponsored walks at locations throughout the province.
It is estimated that during the 35 years of the ‘Walk for MS’ campaign over one million miles have been covered by people taking steps to beat multiple sclerosis.
Speaking at the presentation Ann Walker, Action MS chief executive, said: “We continue to stand in awe of the amazing efforts of the thousands of schoolchildren from right across Northern Ireland who have raised funds on behalf of Action MS.
