ATHLETICS: Seventh spot for Larne runner James Brown
The charity event attracted a sizeable field and on a hilly course and Brown finished in 35:53 - under two minutes behind the winner. His time was well short of his best for the distance but he was pleased to see off a late challenge of two others to hold on to seventh in a field of over 420 runners.
At the Queen’s 5k, and running in NBH colours for the first time, John Steele achieved his sub-20 minute target in his first competitive race of the season over the distance.
