Derry City manager Declan Devine has confirmed that goalkeeper Jack Lemoignan has signed his first professional contract at the Brandywell, penning a two year deal with the club.

The 20-year-old has been in the first team set-up for more than a year now and has really progressed under the watchful eye of Coach Declan McIntyre.

With Nathan Gartside having been handed the No 1 jersey, the Newbuildings youngster is taking the next step in what looks to be an exciting career.

City boss Devine says he had no hesitation in awarding Lemoignan his first professional contract and says he has high hopes for the player.

“Jack has progressed really well through the Academy both here and at Newbuildings FC,” he explained
