Friends Senior Boys team retains Irish Schools title
The Minor Boys lost 6-0 to Colaiste, Treasa, Kanturk and 5-1 to Good Council, Wexford, both very talented teams.
They then defeated Wallace 4-2, finishing equal third with them.

Hide AdIt was a great experience for the boys and well done to Matthew Prentice, Cameron Watson, Zak Nixon and Connor Quinn.
The Junior Boys also finished third losing to Royal & Prior 4-2 and Terenure College 5-1, but ended the tournament with a 4-2 victory over St. Nathy’s, Roscommon.
Well done Chin Nam Soong, Andrew Murphy, Conor Monteith and Reid Lonsdale.
The Senior Boys were out to retain the title from last year but knew it was going to be tough with Royal & Prior having defeated them in both the Ulster League and Cup Finals.

Hide AdBoth teams secured 6-0 victories over St. Colmcille’s and St. Declan’s, Waterford.
The match with Royal & Prior produced some great badminton ending in a 3-3 draw.
It was then a nail-biting finish with Friends’ lifting the title a second time, by one point. Congratulations to Ryan Stewart, Mark Lundy, Elliott Lonsdale and Chris Black.
