Moran’s medal success to wrap up monthly run
His gross 73 on the day provided Moran with a welcome return to form following a front-nine 36 and return leg of 37.
He posted two birdies, four pars and three bogeys across the opening nine holes. The back leg included two birdies, six pars and one double bogey to edge clear overall by a single shot.

Hide AdPatrick Jordan produced a two-under-par gross 70 on the way to nett 68.
Three birdies proved the pick of the front-nine run, with Jordan also posting five pars and one bogey. Across the back nine he finished with a brace of birdies, five pars and two bogeys.
Ethan Headley was next home and he capped his consistent run of results with a nett 69 and gross 73.
He started off his round with a bogey then produced eight consecutive pars before a solid back nine that closed with a birdie.

Hide AdColin Thompson registered the top gross score on the day with a 76 thanks to four birdies. He also posted pars across the first, fifth, sixth, ninth, 11th and 13th holes.
Frank Stevenson was fourth with a nett 69 following one birdie alongside eight pars and eight bogeys.
Thomas Smyth was next in line on nett 70 following a front-nine tally of 38 with three bogeys and six pars. He returned home by posting two birdies, four pars and three bogeys.
Francis Kelly won the seniors’ prize on nett 73 and Matthew Megoran came home ahead of Nathan Thompson in the juniors’ section.
The section winners were: (0-12) John Lynch nett 71; (13-18) Eamon Doherty nett 70; (19-28) Paul Moore nett 72.
