The weekend began with the Kukri Under 18s men’s tournament and the second running of the Ladies Under 18s competition on Friday evening.
The men’s event was dominated by Edinburgh College who overwhelmed BRA side Cobras in the final to take the Everest Cup for the second year in succession. The Ladies’ Under 18s competition was won by Malone who beat Carrick to take the Forever Living Cup.

Hide AdIn the Quigg Golden Open Sevens final Edinburgh ran in six tries to NGN7s’ two to win the competition and the Holmes Salver.
In the Plate fina on Saturday, Autism Avengers from Ballyclare defeated Queen’s University side Major’s Dangers.
In Sunday’s Guinness Qualifying League final Larne defeated CIYMS 12-5. Player of the Tournament went to Philip Andrews.
The Bowl went to Carrickfergus as Bangor withdrew because of injury problems.

Hide AdThe Ladies Sevens and the FLP Salver was won by Cooke who ran in five tries in the final beating Crewe and Nantwich.
The Mid & East Antrim Ladies’ Development competition was won for the second year in succession by Cavan who overcame Malone in the final. At the prize presentation, Cavan were presented with a new trophy, the Lynda Waring Memorial Cup.
