Jamie’s speechless after netting Cup final winner
Jamie Wright’s first time shot whizzed past the in-form Cork C of I keeper to deliver a winning silver-goal for Bann in Sunday’s final.
And the man himself found it all hard to take in.
He said: “It was an unbelievable feeling to get the winning goal. I can’t even describe it. I was just speechless when I saw the ball hitting the net.

“I can’t believe it. It’s been such a brilliant first season at Banbridge.
“Cork pushed us all the way. It was a tough game and very tight at the end but we got the win.”
Wright joined the club last summer along with ex-Portadown team-mate Neil Gilmore and the pair have been a key part of Bann’s successes.

He said: “This is the one everyone wanted to win but the IHL is still very important to us. We’ll go into another semi-final against Pembroke with a lot of confidence.”
