Megan Wilson, Gladys Power, Erin Smith and Sarah Jane Coleman were always in control against P Curry. With 4 ends completed the scores were tied at 3-3 however from then on it was mostly one way traffic and going in to the final end the Ballymena rink held a 10 shot advantage. The home rink finished off in style when they claimed another 4 shots to run out 24-10 victors.

The closest game of the day was between Jennie McCready, Pat Allen, Sile Garvey and Barbara Cameron and B O’Neill.

Six shots on the 7th end more than doubled Ballymena’s advantage however over the next 8 ends the visitors restricted the Ballymena rink to only 2 singles while they picked up 11 shots to level the game at 13-13. It was still level going into the final end but unfortunately it was Portstewart rink who scored a single on the last end to win 15-14.
