McKane shows class

ON another splendid day at Prehen, with the wind just difficult enough to make things interesting and the greens running as true as a Sky News microphone on a politician, it was the medium to high handicappers who managed to top the board at the end of play in the Dunhugh Cup, on Saturday.

At the head of affairs was Sean McKane (20) with a fabulous 43 point tally.

Gerry Irwin (13) has been thundering the ball down Prehen’s fairways for some time now and on Saturday he put in some great chipping and a feel for the greens along with his long hitting to take second place on 41 points.
