Route Hunt meet at Letterloan
Hunt master Philip White welcomed everyone and wished all an enjoyable days hunting. Having shared hip flasks to provide some inner heat, all were ready to tackle the obstacles ahead.
The hunt set off on a trot along the Letterloan Road before entering a grass field to jump a small hedge and the first of many stone walls. The hunt then had a climb through some hilly land before the next lot of hedges and stone walls before returning back to the Letterloan Road. The next obstacle was a ditch which proved tricky for some but with the help of huntsman Lee Johnson all crossed successfully. Several more hedges and walls were jumped before a canter up a muddy laneway into some rough ground where all were able to have a good run at the walls and hedges ahead of them.

There were several more hedges and walls and another laneway for a final canter before the hunt finished up at around 2.30pm. All had enjoyed the many hedges, walls, laneways and the ditches and the whole hunt had managed to stay in the saddle for the first time this season.
The next hunt is this Saturday, December 1st, at 12 noon when hunt organisers look forward to seeing a good turnout of hunt members.
