Waringstown win local derby game
After winning the toss Waringstown captain Morgan Topping elected to bat first. He and opening partner Jack Carson were made to work for their runs by the Tigers bowlers who bowled a fairly consistent line on one side of the wicket. However the Waringstown pair batted well and put on 50 together, an achievement that was made all the more impressive by the fact that it contained only one boundary.
The middle order of Froggart, Waite and Harrison all contributed to the Waringstown’s total of 84 in their allotted overs.

Ben McAlister played the shot of the day pulling Adam Harrison for four through the square leg boundary only to be bowled the next ball.
Further contributions came from Ethan Currie, Qasam Mohammad and Patrick Robinson but it was not enough. The Tigers finished 27 runs short of Waringstown’s total.
