Budget supermarket Aldi has announced the return of its popular cake scented candles, just in time for this year's Great British Bake Off. With scents inspired by favourite cake flavours and bakes, these jar candles are priced at £2.79 for a 312g size. Encased in a glass jar and polished metal lid, the highly fragranced single wick candles are bound to make a sweet addition to any mantlepiece, coffee table or bedside cabinet. What are the scents? Fragrances include Marshmallow Fluff Cake, Strawberry Pavlova, Jaffa Cake and - brand new for 2020 - Cherry Pie. The candles offer an impressive burn time of up to 70 hours, making them the perfect gift for the baker in your life, or those with a sweet tooth. When can I buy them? The cake candles will be on sale from 24 September, and - as with all Aldi Specialbuys - once they're gone, they're gone. Back in July, the supermarket brought back its popular range of gin scented candles, and is known for a Jo Malone inspired hotel collection, with scents such as Pomegranate, Peony Blush and Freesia and Pear.
